Private Yoga in London

My wife and i have been having yoga lessons with Clare for many weeks. She is an outstanding teacher and a really lovely person. The classes are well thought out in advance and adapted to our different levels. The sessions are always very engaging, relaxing and challenging and we look forward to them. She is a pro, who has a passion for yoga which she passes on to her students. Can’t ask for more. Highly recommend her. — Jeremy Ben David

I specialise in teaching one to one yoga and meditation throughout London, from complete beginners to more advanced practitioners who wish to deepen their practice, and also pregnancy yoga.

Why practise one to one yoga and/or meditation?

The beauty of learning and practising yoga and/or meditation one to one, as a couple or in small groups is that each session is tailored to suit you in the moment, whilst staying with intelligent sequencing. I’m intuitive in my approach and quick to respond and adapt my teaching according to you, as opposed to teaching in a ‘one size fits all approach’.

I provide space for you to go deeper into your yoga practice and find the correct alignment that’s right for your body. I’m passionate about the balance between conscious movement and stillness which is why my sessions provide both dynamic movement to build heat and also longer holds of asanas to explore meditation and the interconnectedness of movement and stillness.

What will your one to one yoga and/or meditation session include?

Private yoga sessions with me typically last 60 minutes. However, I am flexible if you wanted a longer or shorter practice. You’re also welcome to share your sessions with someone else at no additional cost, which I find has become quite popular with couples. I offer an initial  discounted yoga taster sessions and also yoga packages. Please get in touch for a full list of my prices and yoga packages.

I draw my knowledge from a vast toolbox of yoga and meditation techniques (some of which I’ve listed below) that I use according to each person’s needs. Ultimately, though I hope our yoga sessions can bring you peace with wherever you are in your life right now, and help you to feel more connected and in tune with your body and mind.

    • Hatha yoga and vinyasa flow. Find stillness and explore poses meditatively, as well as exploring more dynamic movement through flowing sequences.
    • One to one yoga sessions for all levels and also pregnancy yoga.
    • Meditation, yoga nidra and stress management techniques
    • Pranayama
    • Asanas taught in Sanskrit and/or English
    • Sessions that incorporate and bring more awareness of the other areas of yoga philosophy

I can also bring you an environmentally friendly Manduka yoga mat if necessary, along with yoga props and music to complement your yoga session.

Clare has a warm, calm aura. She tailors our weekly session very much to our needs on that day. She is always smiling and my wife and I really look forward to our weekly session with her. Her knowledge and application are truly excellent. Clare is a wonderful teacher on all levels. Thank you Clare! — Mark Farah

Clare is extremely knowledgable and experienced. She adapts our sessions to suit out mood, energy levels and interests. As we progress, she gently challenges us to develop our practice. In addition to the physical aspect, Clare has also introduced us to the theoretical side of yoga practice and we are enjoying this holistic approach very much. Clare has a lovely sweet manner and is a pleasure to spend time with. I can’t recommend her highly enough. — Margaret Mistry
